About The Practitioner

My massage experience began when I was a young child helping my mother, with kyphosis, needed some back pain relief between chiropractor appointments. Rehab for my grandmother after a bad car accident. I had a live-in experience on the importance of moving and strength in order to relearn how to walk and write.

In 1997 as a Cosmetologist,  facials,  manicures and pedicures fascinated me with anatomy and I learned Reflexology. Again, I noticed how massage increased the quality of life for people physically, mentally and emotionally.

The same year my first child was born crippled with AMC- Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. This began my crucial adventure with learning from many licensed therapists, and taking care of others with a joint/muscle condition including a variety of surgeries using therapies of natural health food supplements, chiropractics, many years of PT/ OT and massage therapies. I sifted and sorted the who, what, why, when, how of our bodies are designed and to "know the cause" (Doug Kaugmann) of an issue in order to move from a I can’t and now I can mindset!

Motherhood (now of four) and caretaking quickly began to take a toll on my body and I too became the patient. My ballet/tap dancing and baton twirling days were "over." I felt broken like Humpty Dumpty. At 19 years old I sometimes walked with a cane as if I were 90 years old  due to the stress and over usage my body went through. Until my mid 20's (2002) when I met my therapist, David Clinger MMT and an original teacher of CE Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT). My treatments were always impressive by the abilities I gained  after treatment and the communication during the treatment was an educational drive to learn and keep moving!  I loved asking a lot of questions! He encouraged me to look up Erik Dalton's website and that is just what I did!  These methods and education changed my whole way of thinking about the body's  functionality patterns of movement. Dalton's love of  learning and his Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques turned me into a nerd who enjoys analyzing logically and thinking outside of the box when it comes to the body. It gave me the drive to never give up and hope of regaining functional mobility with pain free movements. I cannot choose a favorite course of his, however “MOTION Is LOTION” is what I tell myself until the joints and soft tissues find their way home!

For 25+ years I have been working, researching and experiencing the benefits of Cosmetology, holistic health, massage, and as well as working in Home Healthcare. I am ecstatic and grateful to have attended the 10th Oklahoma City Annual Workshop in 2023 where I received my MMT certification, met Erik, his most valued friends/followers and teachers. Also, the last workshop late Erik taught in Costa Rica 2025. Currently I am doing some traveling to (continuing education) CE courses as a teacher's assistant with the “Dalton Gang.”

With all the bends in the road in life, my goal is to know the truth and learn from the best. And that is what brought me to where I am today and where I will be tomorrow. Every touch I give has Myoskeletal elements in it!
